How to permanently close your Buddi account and what to expect.
How to delete your account
Step 1
Finish or cancel active buckets
Pause or complete any buckets with scheduled payouts. We cannot process a delete request while payouts are still in progress.
Step 2
Open Account settings
In the Buddi app, go to Account settings.
Step 3
Tap Delete account
Choose Delete account to start the deletion flow.
Step 4
Select a reason
Pick the reason that best matches why you are leaving. This helps us improve Buddi.
Step 5
Submit your delete request
Review the details and submit your delete request. We will process it once your account is eligible.
Step 6
Or email us
If you cannot access the app, email support@buddi.app from the address linked to your Buddi account with the subject line “Delete my account”. We will verify your identity before processing the request.

What happens to your data
After deletion, we remove your profile and app data from our active systems. We may retain limited records where required by law, regulation, or for fraud prevention.
Linked bank details
Any bank mandates or links you set up are cancelled as part of account closure. Your bank may take additional time to reflect mandate changes.
Processing time
Delete requests submitted in the app are processed once your account is eligible. Email requests are usually completed within 5–7 business days after verification.
